Shelter

The rain pounded against the window violently. The trees were swaying as the thunder shook the landscape. The birds were huddled in their bests, trying to shield each other from the torrent of rain. Foxes and creatures on the ground did not stir but instead tried to find shelter wherever they could.

Inside the little cottage by the woods, a fire blazed brightly. There too, creatures we huddling together. Though this huddling was not one of shelter from the gale outside. It was one of love. The man, his wife, and their dog.
